If it's your first time using EMQ X Cloud, don't worry. We will guide you through connecting Home Assistant with EMQ X Cloud.
Create an EMQ X Cloud Account.
Login to EMQ X Cloud console and start a new deployment.
For the first-time EMQ X Cloud customers, we have an opportunity for you to create a free trial deployment of up to 30 days in length. The free trial deployment is an ideal way for you to learn and explore the features of EMQ X Cloud.
After the new deployment is created and the status is running, add the client authentication information (you could choose to add manually or import from the file).
Install openHAB. You could easily get openHAB installed by following the steps shown here. OpenHAB could be run on various systems based on your preference.
After the openHAB is installed, run the openHAB and go to console.
Settings and install MQTT Binding:
Add MQTT to
MQTT Broker and fill in the information of the deployment we created before.
For the user name and password, fill in the authentication information as mentioned before.
When there is a little green label that shows
ONLINE, you are successfully connecting openHAB with EMQ X Cloud. Congrats!
